Triple glazing is when your home benefits from three panes of glass rather than one or two, providing the highest energy rating for windows.

This extra pane increases energy efficiency and reduces the amount of outside noise that makes it into your home. We can add this glaze to any type of window, check out our full range here.

    The Benefits of Triple Glazing

Thermal efficient glazing – There is no better option when it comes to keeping your house warm. Triple glazing is the key to reducing heat loss through your windows.

Creating a more secure home – The extra panes of glass also help make your home more secure. Three layers of toughened glass make it a difficult window to break and an internal glazing bead prevents glass being removed from the outside.

Lowest U Value – The energy efficiency of a window is measured by the U-Value. Triple glazing has a U-Value of 0, which is the best you can get for keeping the heat in and the cold out.

Energy saving – The thermal technology of triple glazing means there are less cold spots where heat can escape, so you save on your energy bills.

Potential to add value to your home – With more pros than single or double glazing, triple glazing can potentially add value to your home.

Reduced noise pollution – If you live in a busy area, installing triple glazing really is a no-brainer. Three layers of glass means a noticeable reduction in outside noise.

    Triple glazed windows FAQs

    What is U-Value?

The energy efficiency of a window is measured by the U-Value. The lower the U-Value, the better. Single glazed windows have a U-Value of 5. Double glazing has a U-Value of around 1-3, depending on the age of the double glazing. Triple glazing has a U-Value of 0. This actually beats the U-Value of walls. Your walls have a U-Value of around 0.3. This means the ‘payback period’ for triple glazing is generally much quicker than that obtained from single or double glazing.

    Is triple glazing worth it?

Triple glazing is the most thermally efficient and secure glazing you can pick for your home.

Is triple glazing better than double glazing?

Both offer benefits but with an extra layer of glass, triple glazing provides better thermal efficiency ratings than double glazing.

Can triple glazing overheat your home?

No. The lever of solar gain is surprisingly less than double glazed units. This is due to the extra pane of glass.
